Contact the Police immediately

Call for Help

Exchange Information
You are required to exchange your name, address, and insurance information with the other driver involved in the accident. Ask to see the driver’s license, registration, and insurance card. Copy down all information and put it in a safe place. When the police arrives, copy down the name, badge number, and precinct of the officer so that your attorney can get a copy of the police report.
Make No Statement

Get prompt medical treatment at an emergency hospital or medical clinic. Make sure you tell the doctor about any complaints and injuries you have as a result of the accident. Remember that some internal injuries may not show up immediately.
Notify Your Insurance
